Dear PipeFlare Community,
Polygon has announced a migration from MATIC to a new token called POL, starting September 4, 2024. This change will impact several PipeFlare operations. Please read this notice carefully to understand how this may affect you.
Key Dates
- August 28, 2024: Migration process begins
- September 4, 2024: Official launch of POL on Ethereum network
- September 10, 2024: MATIC ticker replaced with POL on Polygon network
PipeFlare Service Interruptions
To ensure a smooth transition and protect our users’ assets, the following PipeFlare services will be temporarily paused from August 28 to September 10, 2024:
- Faucet Claims: All MATIC faucet claims will be suspended.
- NFT Sales: The sale of NFTs on the Polygon network will be halted.
- NFT Transfers: You will not be able to transfer NFTs on the Polygon network.
- Token Transfers: Sending and receiving MATIC tokens will be disabled.
- Other On-Chain Activities: All other activities requiring on-chain transactions on the Polygon network will be paused.
- Withdrawals: You will not be able to withdraw MATIC or other Polygon-based tokens from the PipeFlare platform during this period.
What This Means for You
- Do not attempt to deposit MATIC on the Polygon network to your PipeFlare account during this period.
- Any pending transactions or claims initiated before August 28 may be delayed or canceled.
- Your existing MATIC balance on PipeFlare will be automatically converted to POL at a 1:1 ratio after the migration.
After the Migration
- Starting September 10, you’ll see POL instead of MATIC in your PipeFlare wallet.
- All paused services will resume with the new POL token.
- We’ll provide further updates on how this change affects our games, faucets, and other features.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this transition period. Rest assured, your assets are safe, and we’re working to make this process as smooth as possible.
